Maranui Café is a spectacular location, right on Lyall Bay, to host a CHEESE & WINE EVENT. The cheeses are busy ripening in my cheese “room” - from big boulders to tiny rounds, some washed in beer or covered in white fluff. All unique, New Zealand artisan cheeses. And finding the perfect wine to match them is our mission, helped with great wines and great advice from @eurovintage_nz.

MY News etc

I had 9 very happy weeks in Europe teaching at the University of Gastronomic Science in Italy, finalising a Cheese & Wine Tour of Bordeaux and maybe one to Castello di Potentino, Tuscany. The weather was gorgeous, and I caught up with my  English “family” and even made a quick visit to Pont l’Eveque.

 Back home I’m working with 495th Master of wine Michael Healey at his new 495 Wine Bar in Hastings. Plus, I am looking forward to a busy summer hosting Tours, Tastings & Corporate Events.

Wherever you are and however we met I’m hoping our paths cross again soon. If not in Hawke’s Bay, then maybe Maranui Cafe in Lyall Bay,  The Chequers in Churchill [ Jeremy Clarkson’s favourite haunt] or the roof top bar at Mama Shelter in Bordeaux.
